The Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust recently took delivery of two Transit Vans, supplied by Gates Transit Centres.
In December 2016, EHAA took delivery of their first van, a Transit Custom Limited and this was soon followed by a second Transit Custom at the end of January 2017. Both vans will be used by the volunteer team for a wide range of fundraising initiatives as well as day-to-day use across Essex and Herts for general movement between offices.
The Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust, unlike NHS emergency services, is a Charity providing a free life-saving Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) for the critically ill and injured of Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.

The Essex Helicopter is based at Earls Colne Airfield, with the Herts helicopter operating out of North Weald Airfield. The Service is operational 7 days a week from 7.00am to 9.00pm or sunset whichever occurs first. The helicopters are dispatched to patients with serious illness or injury caused by such incidents as traffic collisions, falls from height, heart attacks, stabbings, cardiac arrests and strokes.
Moe Ali, Director- Gates Transit Centres, said: "Gates have long been established in Essex and Hertfordshire so we were pleased to have an opportunity to work with a local charity based in the same area as us" Moe continues "it was great to be able to help such a worthwhile cause that relies on the support of local people and businesses."
