The mid-sized entry in the Transit range, the Ford Transit Connect, is due for an overhaul this year that will deliver extraordinary enhancements, inside and out.
Visually, a new three-bar grille, slimmer headlights and a lower bumper will not only bring it in line with the rest of the Ford models’ design, but also improve aerodynamics.
Inside its cabin, the New Transit Connect will prove even more practicality, thanks to the overhauled dashboard and central control area. In addition to the improved appearance, the 6-inch Ford SYNC3 infotainment system will be available on higher-specification trims along with a range of driver-assist technologies. The materials used throughout the cabin will also see an upgrade in the style and durability departments.
The engine line-up of the newest Transit Connect will benefit from an all-new 1.5-litre EcoBlue diesel engine that delivers fuel injection, turbocharging, friction reduction and lower emissions. In addition to this, the trademark Ford 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine will join the line-up in an upgraded form, that cuts emissions even further. All new, and existing units, will run on an upgraded six-speed manual gearbox that delivers better performance. The service interval of the new Transit Connect will also be extended to 25,000 miles or two years.
