Overview

The Ford Ranger PHEV is set to redefine the pickup segment with a 2.3-litre Ford EcoBoost petrol engine, a 75kW electric motor and an 11.8 kWh battery. Together, this system produces 690 Nm of torque – the most of any production Ranger – and 275 bhp. With a targeted EV-only range of 26 miles and a full charge achieved in less than four hours, the Ford Ranger PHEV is built for performance and practicality. Furthermore, this plug-in hybrid model retains the Ranger’s legendary 3,500 kg towing capacity and 1,000 kg payload, making it a go-to choice for professionals and adventurers alike.

Technology

The Ford Ranger PHEV is equipped with advanced hybrid technology designed to enhance performance, efficiency and convenience. Key features include:

Terrain Management System This plug-in hybrid pick-up is engineered for tough conditions with Ford’s proven Terrain Management System. You can select modes that optimise performance for various surfaces, including mud, sand, snow and rocks. A dual-range transfer box and rear differential lock provide additional confidence when tackling challenging environments. Whether you’re rock crawling or crossing steep inclines, the vehicle’s e-4WD system ensures you remain in control.
EV drive modes The Ford Ranger PHEV offers four EV drive modes, providing tailored performance to suit various needs. EV Auto seamlessly balances petrol and electric power for maximum efficiency and performance, making it ideal for towing and load-carrying. EV Now enables all-electric, zero-emissions driving for over 29 miles, perfect for urban areas or silent starts. EV Later conserves battery power for future use, such as when entering low-emission zones. Lastly, EV Charge uses the petrol engine to recharge the battery while driving, ensuring energy is available whenever needed.
Pro Power Onboard A standout feature of the Ford Ranger PHEV is Pro Power Onboard, an innovative system that transforms the truck into a mobile power hub, perfect for both work and recreation. This system allows you to power tools, devices, and equipment directly from the truck’s battery, eliminating the need for a generator. With a 2.3 kW Standard Output for light tools and electronic devices and a 6.9 kW High Output capable of supporting heavy-duty equipment (providing 3.45 kW from each outlet), Pro Power Onboard delivers impressive versatility. Conveniently located outlets in the load box and cabin make it ideal for job sites, camping, and off-grid adventures.
Capable of zero emissions The Ford Ranger PHEV combines eco-friendly electric driving with Ford’s legendary performance. In EV Now mode, you can enjoy a pure-electric range of more than 29 miles with zero CO2 and NOx emissions. This makes it ideal for city driving, low-emission zones and areas with environmental restrictions, all without compromising on capability.
