This exclusive test drive event at Gates Ford in Harlow is a community event with a difference - not only will we be showcasing a selection of the very latest Ford Cars and Vans, but we'll also be raising money for Essex & Herts Air Ambulance along the way! Book a test drive in one of our New Ford Vehicles and upon completion, Ford will donate £30 to EHAAT - it's as simple as that! A little drive could go a long way.

Gates have been proud supporters of EHAAT for several years now - in early 2026, we were pleased to handover a All-Electric Ford Explorer® to assist the charity’s staff in their essential operations. The introduction of the new All-Electric Ford Explorer will support the charity’s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint while maintaining charitable operational efficiency. EHAAT rely on support from the local community and corporate sponsors like Gates to continue their lifesaving work providing a first-class pre-hospital emergency medical service across Essex, Hertfordshire and beyond.
Our Ford Drive For Your Community Event will aim to raise up to £6,000* for the charity further assisting in the crucial, life-saving work that the charity do.
With the event being hosted at Gates Ford in Harlow, the full range of Ford Cars and Commercial Vehicles will be available to view and test drive during our Ford Drive For Your Community Event, including the All-Electric Ford Mustang Mach-E®, Ford Ranger® Plug-In Hybrid, Ford E‑Transit™ Custom® and more! Here at Gates Ford, we also wanted to shine a spotlight on the following vehicles, all of which are available now with savings of up to £3,750 (subject to terms and conditions), thanks to Ford Electric Vehicle Grants:

As a local business, Gates Ford are proud to be hosting such a special community event at our dealership in Harlow and we are delighted to be welcoming some of the team from Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) as they join us on Saturday 20th June!
The event will bring together customers, families, supporters, and local businesses to help raise awareness of the incredible work the EHAAT team carries out every day across Essex & Hertfordshire whilst also raising vital funds. Visitors will have the chance to meet the crew, learn more about the lifesaving work that they do and help support this wonderful local charity by participating in the fundraising activities being coordinated across the day. Every mission that EHAAT carries out relies heavily on public support, making events like this incredibly important.
Alongside the fundraising, guests will be guaranteed a warm welcome from the Gates team and enjoy a fun day at the dealership with light refreshments, vehicle displays, family-friendly activities, and the opportunity to explore the latest Ford models. We look forward to welcoming guests to what promises to be a fantastic event for a great cause.
All of the vehicles mentioned will be available to test drive on the day - we'd highly recommend pre-booking in advance however, especially if there is a particular time that you'd like to take your test drive. We would love to see as many people as possible on the day of our event!
Our event promises to be fun and informative, whilst having the local community at it's heart. Please also provide us with your contact details so that we can confirm your booking in advance!
A fantastic test drive route has been planned, allowing you to really get a feel for each Ford vehicle on the open road. Test drives should take approximately 20 minutes. We ask that guests arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to your test drive appointment as we will need to register you for your drive and carry out driving licence checks.
Yes, we will need to see your driving licence and we will also require your National Insurance number.
If you would like to make a donation to EHAAT, you can do so by clicking here. EHAAT are also able to arrange tours of their EHAAT Visitor Centre at North Weald - if you would be interested in booking this, please let us know on the day.
