To travel and transport vehicles, parts and paperwork between destinations.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Obtaining vehicle information and requirements from and updating our VDT (Vehicle Delivery Tracking) system.
- Safe keeping and display of Trade Plates.
- To deliver vehicles in a correct manner and by safe driving within legal speed limits.
- Collection of vehicles from dealerships, customers or other suppliers.
- To complete all journeys by either most direct means of transport or as agreed by the Manager.
- To follow the Gates training guidelines for vehicle inspection and report any mechanical malfunction or defects of the vehicle to the department Manager at the location you are collecting from. If no department Manager is available on site, then contact the Manager or supervisor for further advice and guidance.
- To ensure VDT is always used and any visible damage and vehicle defects are recorded and photographed in VDT before journey begins.
- To report any road traffic accident to the Manager, immediately taking photographs of the vehicles involved and scene.
- Carry out any reasonable additional duties from time to time as instructed by the Manager or supervisor.
- This role is categorised as an “employee supplied with uniform” and employees within this role will need to adhere to the requirements of this clause under the Dress and Appearance Policy detailed in the Employee handbook.
