The new Ford Kuga keeps the power and stowage capacity of its predecessor, whilst offering a wider choice of engine options and an impressive list of smart features and technologies.
The well-built SUV is available now at your local Gates Ford dealership, and there is now even more choice than ever with an improved model line-up. The Zetec and the luxurious Titanium models remain in the line-up and are now joined by the new sporty ST-Line and the Kuga Vignale, offering the ultimate in refinement. Whatever your requirements, you can be sure that there is a Kuga for you.
Inside the cabin, improved technology and a minimal dashboard design with fewer buttons further enhances the Kuga’s convenience. Even more space is opened up in the centre console with a new electric parking brake, providing a less labour-intensive alternative to the traditional equivalent. Ford’s new SYNC 3 infotainment system is a highlight to the new Kuga, working just like a smartphone from an intelligent eight-inch touchscreen. Interior upgrades have not compromised on space, so you can enjoy the same luggage capacity as the traditional Kuga.
New Kuga Performance
A range of engine options are available with the new model, including a new 1.5-litre diesel unit, capable of achieving up to 64.2mpg combined, and with improved fuel efficiency emitting from as little as 115g/km of CO₂. The 2.0-litre diesel and 1.5-litre EcoBoost petrol variants will still be available, with front-wheel or all-wheel-drive variants to choose from depending on your requirement for off-road capability.
Technology and Safety
The Ford SYNC 3 interface, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality, enables drivers to stay connected controlling your phone, music and navigation system with intuitive voice commands, or an 8” colour touchscreen. What's more, Ford SYNC includes Ford Emergency Assistance which can call the Emergency Services in the event of an accident.
Active City Stop and advanced parking technology are new features added to the impressive safety kit of the original Kuga. The semi-autonomous parking system helps drivers to park perpendicular to other cars, with cross traffic alerts to assist when reversing out of spaces. The intuitive Active City Stop will detect possible collisions, applying the brake automatically at speeds of up to 31mph – an improvement on the previous of 19mph.
