Overview

The New All-Electric Ford Explorer is an exciting automotive development, an attractive and practical motoring solution that combines distinctive Ford styling with proven Volkswagen engineering. Using the same MEB platform as the Volkswagen ID. 4, the New All-Electric Ford Explorer produces zero harmful emissions and offers an impressive maximum 374-mile range. This pure-electric vehicle will enhance your driving experience by offering silent, smooth operation, instant torque for quick acceleration, and lower operating costs – all while reducing environmental impact.

Design

A distinctive ‘top hat’ has been crafted for the New All-Electric Ford Explorer’s modular electric drive matrix platform, creating unique proportions and a subtly styled ‘glasshouse.’ The interior quality is no less impressive, with a departure from previous models’ austere finishes. The cabin features a 15-inch touchscreen in portrait orientation for optimal navigation and widget display, boasting what is the largest Apple CarPlay screen available, designed for easy use while driving. Notably, the screen can pivot up to 30 degrees for customisable viewing angles, and when pushed back, it reveals a hidden storage space for personal items. Under the armrest is a MegaConsole which offers enough space for a laptop or three 1.5-litre bottles, adaptable by removing the cupholders.

Infotainment Baseline Select trims feature a 14.6-inch SYNC Move touchscreen that offers seamless Apple/Android smartphone integration and includes a seven-speaker audio system, complete with soundbar.
Five-star protection A maximum five-star Euro NCAP crash-test rating is the surest sign of just how safe the New All-Electric Ford Explorer is. Accordingly, it’s packed with protective tech, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Cross Traffic Alert (with Active Braking and Exit Warning), front and rear parking sensors, and a rear view camera.
Electric performance While producing zero CO2 and NOx emissions and delivering 10% to 80% charging speeds at a maximum DC rate of 135 kW, this all-electric SUV races from 0-62mph in 6.4 seconds. Upon a single charge, it offers a range of up to 374 miles too.
Comfort As standard, the car is equipped with heated front seats, with a 12-way power driver’s position that offers massage and memory functionality, accompanied by a heated steering wheel.
