The event, which is organised by local independent family funeral directors, Daniel Robinson & Sons has become a tradition in the lead up to Christmas. This year they have teamed up with Gates of Harlow bringing Harlow’s two oldest family businesses together for our community.
Gary Neill, Managing Director of Daniel Robinson & Sons said “this event has grown and grown over the years, seeing many people coming out onto the streets to cheer and clap as the convoy passes. It really does make the children feel so special, and so humbling when you see the smiles on their faces”.
The convoy will start at 1.45pm from Gates of Harlow and end up at approx 2.30pm at The Playhouse, where the children will be welcomed by Chris Vince MP, before enjoying the matinee performance of the pantomime. Mr Neill continued “We are delighted to be joining forces with the Gates family business who like us work all year round to support the community of Harlow”.
The convoy of 15 decorated limousines (including the drivers in fancy dress!) will be led by Santa on his sleigh and joined by Essex Fire & Rescue and Essex Police.
Jack Greenall, Director and Operations Director of Gates said “Having been involved with this wonderful event last year, we are delighted to be joining forces with Daniel Robinson & Sons once again". Jack continues “this year promises to be bigger and better and we are very much looking forward to welcoming local families to the dealership”.
Both companies invite you to join them somewhere on the route, make some noise and have some fun, the route will be published on Daniel Robinson & Sons Facebook page.
