The Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust recently acquired a second AW169 Helicopter - to celebrate this occasion and as a thank you to supporters, the team at EHAAT organised this memorable occasion. The free "Heli-bration" event attracted over 4,000 people from across Essex and Hertfordshire and a fun day was had by all with much to see and do. The event provided an exclusive opportunity for visitors to see inside the brand new helicopter and also to meet the crew - this proved to be very popular!
Gates have been long-term supporters of the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance providing the charity with vehicles that are used on a day to day basis to travel between the charity’s two airbases, fundraising offices and shops, as well as to events like this one across Essex and Hertfordshire. The Ford Kuga Plug-In Hybrid - provided by Gates and currently being used by the charity - was on display at the event, complete with EHAAT branding. It sat proudly next to the star of the show!
Our Events Team were proud to be in attendance on the day too along with the New Ford Kuga, which has only recently arrived at our dealerships, and the All-New Transit Custom. Both vehicles were available for visitors to browse throughout the event and our staff were on hand to chat and answer questions about the Ford Vehicle range and Gates dealerships based across Essex and Hertfordshire.
Our stand was located next to the CPR Zone - this area, organised by EHAAT, provided the opportunity to learn helpful CPR skills and was open to visitors of all ages. There were lots of other family friendly activities going on too including arts and crafts, face-painting, a display of emergency vehicles, falconry and sniffer dog displays to name but a few. Amongst the attendees were special guests including hosts, Lord and Lady Salisbury, TV personality and charity ambassador Lisa Snowdon, Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire Robert Voss CBE, High Sheriff of Hertfordshire Annie Brewster JP, High Sheriff of Essex David Hurst, and councillors from Essex and Hertfordshire.
We were very proud to be a part of this momentous occasion and we had an enjoyable day. We would like to say a big thank you to all involved with organising the event and on behalf of all at Gates Ford, we look forward to continuing our support for EHAAT.
