What is WLTP?

The Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure - or WLTP - is a new emissions testing procedure that all new cars sold in the EU must comply with. The WLTP is designed to provide more accurate data on a car's fuel consumption and emissions, and is considered to be a more realistic representation of real-world driving conditions in comparison to previous testing procedures - namely the NEDC.
