Adaptive Steering

With Gates Ford, drivers can now enjoy a whole range of intelligent technologies from the world renowned brand. Designed to enhance the driving experience in terms of safety, comfort and convenience, Ford technologies benefit all kinds of drivers. One of the latest designs is the Adaptive Steering technology, helping you feel more in control and at one with your car, as well as manoeuvring with ease.

Ford has used the foundations of advanced power steering to create a new kind of system. Not only does the marque’s power steering minimise effort and make the feel of the car lighter and more responsive, but the Adaptive element now allows for a more controlled and intelligent drive.

Adaptive Steering monitors the driver’s activity, ensuring that the steering works in relation to the speed in which the car is travelling. If you are travelling at slow speeds, such as manoeuvring into a parking space, the Adaptive Steering activates to ensure you do not have to make lots of turns. When travelling at faster speeds, Adaptive Steering ensures the car turns more smoothly.

There are two settings which can be selected: Normal and Sport. On the Normal setting, drivers can enjoy a fun and relaxing drive. With Sport, drivers can feel more engaged with the car and enjoy an increase in response for an athletic performance.

Call Gates Ford today and we will be happy to inform you about all of the latest technologies from the marque. We can inform you about the various models and what they include, and we’ll be pleased to discuss our flexible finance plans that can cater to your budget.
