Ford Reverse Gear Activated Rear View Camera

Sometimes it can be tricky to see exactly what’s behind you when reversing – especially when your view is limited or obstructed. Things like bollards, benches and low walls can be difficult to detect in mirrors, and that makes going backwards even more of a challenge.

That’s why Ford has introduced the Reverse Gear Activated Rear View Camera – allowing you to see what’s going on behind you on a screen in front of you. A rear-view camera integrated into the bumper (complete with a wide-angle lens) is automatically activated when you pop your Ford into reverse, and you’ll be able to see behind via the screen integrated into your Ford SYNC display.

With the camera firmly in place, you’ll have a much better all-round view, making this technology ideal for use in busy city environments. The system can also be used to help you park, using virtual, on-screen guidelines to guide you into the tightest of spaces. When you move out of reverse gear, the screen deactivates to ensure you don’t get distracted.

Ford’s innovative technology solutions are designed to make your vehicle as comfortable, useful and safe as possible. Ford Reverse Gear Activated Rear View Camera is available as standard with certain models and trim levels, and you can also add it as an optional extra.

We can also book you in a test drive, so you can experience it for yourself in a model of your choice.
