As one of Europe’s best-selling pick-ups, the Ford Ranger isn’t afraid to push the boundaries. Available from October 2021 in two bold special edition variants, this tough, rugged vehicle brings extra style and practicality to your working day.
The Ranger Stormtrak is based on the manufacturer’s top-spec Wildtrak variant, but adds exclusive styling features and state-of-the-art equipment. Its aesthetic is characterised by a red grille insert, LED headlights and underbody protection, and it can be specified in the unique Rapid Red paint colour, as well as in Frozen White and Blue Lightning. The rear features a gloss black bumper, and the load bed boasts Ford’s ‘Sports Hoop’ roll bar and a Power Roller Shutter, which can be operated by the key fob or via buttons inside the cab and load space.
Featuring the same 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel engine as the Wildtrak edition, the Ford Ranger Stormtrak proves that style doesn’t come at the expense of substance. It produces 210bhp and features a 10-speed automatic gearbox, which makes the model ideal for towing. It also retains the 1.0-tonne payload and 3,500kg maximum towing weight offered by the Wildtrak.
Inside, the model has a premium feel thanks to Stormtrak-specific seats with supple leather trim, as well as Tinted Graphite surfaces and red contrast stitching.
Business users needing a robust pick-up to tackle rough terrain will appreciate the Wolftrak edition’s specialist features, which make it ideal for off-roading. Based on the XLT trim, this model comes with a 168bhp turbocharged EcoBlue diesel engine and either six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission, while an electronically locking rear differential, selectable four-wheel drive system, and all-terrain tyres give it added capability on rough surfaces. Offering a 1.0-tonne payload and 3,500kg maximum towing capacity, it matches the Wildtrak and Stormtrak for utility.
In terms of exterior styling, the Ford Ranger Wolftrak can be specified in Conquer Grey or Sea Grey paint colours, and features a matte black grille and 17-inch black alloy wheels. There are also moulded side steps and underbody protection for added practicality.
Step inside and you’ll find matte black dash trim, as well as all-weather floor mats that are designed to withstand heavy use in a variety of conditions. Ford SYNC3 with navigation comes as standard, and is operated by an 8.0-inch touchscreen.
