Ford broke records in 2013 by claiming the largest number of accolades at a single What Car? Awards event. The manufacturer triumphed with four trophies for some of its most popular models.

WhatCar? Best Family Car & Best Estate Car for the Mondeo

The Mondeo held on to its Best Family Car and Best Estate Car awards for a third year running. Joining it was the all-new Fiesta which was judged Best Supermini. The Fiesta’s award followed four years as the UK’s best-selling vehicle.

Best Hot Hatch for the Focus ST

Also soaring onto the podium was the mighty Focus ST hot hatch in both five-door and estate forms. The turbo charged creation was crowned Best Hot Hatch by What Car? who noted that the vehicle was “Fast and thrilling when you want it to be, yet also perfectly happy pottering around town or trundling along the motorway.”
