This flexible vehicle can be tailored to your needs, adapting to a range of tasks. Choose from a Single or Double Cab, depending on how many crew members you need to carry, and select front- or rear-wheel drive to suit the terrain you’re tackling. You can also pick from a variety of body lengths – from 2.9m to 5.3m – and select front- or rear-wheel drive depending on your load requirements. Front-wheel drive has recently been added to enhance payload; you can also enjoy enhanced payload with dual or single rear wheel options.
Not only is the Dropside versatile, it’s got plenty of clever features to make working life simpler too. The tubular steel headboard, for example, enables you to transport ladders securely, while fold-out steps can be lowered to offer easy access to the load bed.
The Ford Transit 1-Way Tipper is designed to tackle the most challenging site conditions while ensuring you travel in comfort. Able to transport a range of payloads, it’s a solid, functional option that works as hard as you do. Innovative features include a fully automatic Sequenced Hydraulic Body Hold Down system, which secures the body in its lowered position, enabling you to carry out other tasks, and a Control Station next to the driver’s seat that facilitates operation of the tipper.
The 1-Way Tipper comes with front- or rear-wheel drive, the former of which has been added to enhance payload. All versions are also available with duel rear wheels or single rear wheels, again to make the most of your payload capacity.
Need a little extra flexibility from your Tipper? Then choose the Transit 3-Way Tipper, designed to cope with a range of situations, from large, spacious sites to restricted-access areas. Able to tip to the left or right, or to the rear, it delivers ultimate versatility and convenience – both for you and your clients. In addition, it comes in front-or rear wheel guises, with the front-wheel option enabling enhanced payload. If you’re choosing a rear-wheel model, you can select from dual or single rear wheels, again to maximise payload.
A set of intelligent measures makes your working day effortless. For example, the remote wander lead handset means you can control the side-tipping function easily. You can also control the tipping angle thanks to a ram mounted in a durable steel gimbal with built-in shock absorbers and electrical limit switches.
Luton and Box vans are perfect for those wanting to transport larger loads. Built to last and with plenty of equipment to ensure cargo remains secure en route, they are ideal for multi-drop distribution. Plus, with Ford’s trademark agility and responsive handling, they’re a pleasure to drive.
Every day is effortless with a Transit Luton or Box Van. These models come equipped with handy features such as a wide-slat shutter, which provides ample headroom for easy loading and unloading, as well as anchor points on the lower rail, which keep loads secure. There are clever safety measures too, such as the emergency door-override, which stops you or your crew members being accidentally locked into the load space.
As with the other models in the range, you can choose between front- or rear-wheel drive, the latter of which offers dual and single options to enhance payload.
If you need to transport heavy payloads or require a low chassis floor and walk-through access from the cab, the Transit Skeletal Chassis Cab option is ideal. Its floor sits at just 633-635mm, as opposed to the regular 736-738mm, and it’s available without a cabin back panel, meaning you can access the load space easily and efficiently. It’s also designed to ensure the correct fixing of the conversion, making light work of tough jobs.
What’s more, you can pick the size of the ladder frame chassis to best suit your work. The front-wheel drive model is available with three wheelbase lengths ranging from 5321mm to 5975mm, enabling it to accommodate the cargo you carry. There’s also a rear-wheel drive option with a choice of dual and single rear wheels to enhance payload.
