Design
Offered in van, double cab-in-van, and single chassis variations, the All-Electric Ford E-Transit is versatile enough to meet the needs of many businesses. Three lengths and two heights are available for the regular panel van, while a single length and two height options are on offer with the double cab-in-van version. So whether you need extra loadspace or room for passengers, there is a configuration available to accommodate.
In terms of design, the All-Electric Ford E-Transit is instantly recognisable as a member of the Ford family, with a large hexagonal grille and prominent headlights blending practicality with style. The grille features blue accents, denoting the vehicle’s eco-friendly nature, and behind it sits the charging socket, which is compatible with both IONITY and FordPass Charging Network charging stations.
The battery has been intelligently designed to sit underneath the main body of the van therefore maximising space. Load space ranges from 9.5 to 15.1 cubic metres†† depending on the configuration you choose.
On the All-Electric Ford E-Transit, the rear suspension has been redesigned increasing carrying capacity. The heavy duty independent rear suspension improves handling and traction with the ability to carry up to 1,758kg of cargo, so it’s a capable and confident option for transporting deliveries, specialist equipment, tools, and more.
Safety
Boasting a raft of cutting-edge safety systems, the All-Electric Ford E-Transit is designed to keep both you and other road users protected. In fact, it has received a Gold Award from independent vehicle safety authority Euro NCAP for its advanced driver assistance systems. The Reverse Brake Assist feature, for example, uses a camera and sensors to detect and warn you of objects, pedestrians, and cyclists in your path when reversing. Should you fail to react, the van will stop automatically. Another addition is the 360-degree camera, which helps to make parking and manoeuvres easier. Choose the Trend model for further active safety measures such as cruise control, Pre-Collision Assist, and Lane-Keeping Aid.
Performance: zero emissions driving
The 400V battery offers 68kWh of power and delivers between 181-265bhp, as well as an impressive range of up to 166-196 miles (WLTP test result)* on a full charge . 196-miles WLTP Overall Range reflects a combined driving cycle and 166-miles WLTP Extra High range reflects motorway driving. If your work takes you further, topping up the battery from 15-80% takes as little as 34 minutes at a DC fast charging point; if you need to recharge when the working day is done, a full charge can be achieved in eight hours at the depot.
A selection of driving modes enables you to configure the vehicle’s settings to suit your needs and preferences. Choose Eco to limit power and optimise range, Normal for a punchy drive, or Slippery for extra traction.
Technology
The optional Pro Power Onboard feature is an innovative and helpful addition to your All-Electric Ford E-Transit, as it provides 2.3kW of power without the need for a generator. That means you can plug in hand tools, a laptop, or even a small fridge unit and get straight to work. In the cabin, you’ll benefit from a 12.0-inch touchscreen that runs Ford’s SYNC 4 system, giving you intuitive access to entertainment, communications and navigation. It also supports over-the-air updates and features a range predictor, which factors in weather and traffic data to give you an accurate estimate of the All-Electric E-Transit’s remaining range. Other standard features include Keyless Start and heated mirrors.
Connectivity
Whether you run just one vehicle or a larger fleet, there are a number of connectivity systems available on the Ford All-Electric E-Transit to ensure your fleet runs as efficiently as possible. The free FordPass Pro app allows you to manage recharging schedules, view vehicle location and health status as well as remote locking/unlocking.
For fleets with five vehicles or more, Ford Telematics can help. Productivity is maximised and downtime minimised thank to powerful, data driven insights that help you understand the daily operation of the fleet. It can also help to seamlessly manage payment of public charging using the Ford charging network.
Charging
Charging the All-Electric Ford E-Transit is simple - just plug into the mains to recharge or alternatively, install a Ford Connected Wallbox home charging point for faster charging times (an overnight full charge with a 230-volt 16A 3-phase AC supply takes just over 8 hours**). It can also be charged at public charging points such as the fast IONITY stations or the Blue OvalTM charging network. The All-Electric Van can charge from 15% to 80% in just 34 minutes from a 115kW fast charger.
